THE BIRTH OF THE MOVEMENT.
When George Floyd was murdered by the vile grip of police brutality, the world cried out. The cry was deafening because, sadly, Mr Floyd wasn’t the first. For centuries, Black men and women, just like George, have been brutalised, mass-incarcerated, segregated and enslaved.
From his heart, via paintbrush and protest, Anton Leon’s cry is a cry for George Floyd, his own ancestors and the countless other Black men and women whose lives have been snatched or stifled by the hands of inequality and injustice. Multi-dimensional, this cry serves as an empowering ‘call to arms’ for those ready to fight for real equity for the Black community and a clear warning to anyone vying to stand in the way of it.
“You’ve fucked with the last generation - this ends with us.”
Passionate, galvanising and full of hope.

Created by Anton Leon and first used by him at Birmingham UK’s Black Lives Matter demonstration, 4th June 2020, the sign – the cry, the message was heavily captured and posted – one post was liked 192,000 and reposted 67,000 times (and counting!).
Most recognisably, award-winning rapper and actor, Ice Cube posted an image of Anton and his message as did notable presenter and actress, Jameela Jamil.

The GLOBAL impact
The message is speaking louder than Anton could have ever imagined. It’s speaking to a generation of people who have had enough of discrimination. It’s uniting Black and Non-Black people alike in working together to end racism one household, one community, one institution at a time. It’s providing hope. It’s prompting love and solidarity. It’s inspiring. Anton’s cry is now the world’s. THIS ENDS WITH US.
